YOUR TRIP TO NAKO

PRIVATE CHARTER FLIGHTS AND HELICOPTERS

Private charter flights and helicopter transfers can be arranged for a more exclusive travel experience. This service includes a meet-and-greet on arrival, where guests are escorted through customs and immigration after landing on international flights.

Flight times are generally flexible, subject to aircraft availability and lodge operations. Please enquire with Reservations about the possibility of an earlier check-in or later check-out, as an additional surcharge may apply for transfers to or from the airstrip.

ROAD TRANSFERS & DRIVING YOURSELF

Alternatively, a road transfer can be arranged to transport guests to and from NAKO Safari Lodge. Located just one hour from Johannesburg, 45 minutes from OR Tambo International Airport, and 30 minutes from Pretoria, the lodge allows guests to maximise their time in nature. Please enquire about transfers from other destinations.

Guests also have the option of renting a vehicle at the airport and driving to the lodge. This is a great way to explore more of South Africa, and the roads are generally in excellent condition, so a 4×4 vehicle is not required.

MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS

Dinokeng Game Reserve is a Malaria FREE area, therefore no anti-Malaria medication is required. We have a medical box available with basic medication for your convenience, however, if you are taking any prescribed medication, please ensure that you have an additional supply available in case of any unforeseen circumstances.

A paramedic is stationed in the reserve and can be called out to the lodge in necessary situations. Emergency Medical evacuation is also available for emergency cases, but each case is assessed individually and therefore no guarantees are given. We do advise that all guests take out personal travel insurance.
